Lezlie Maloy, D.C. | Licensed Chiropractor
ART Instructor and Full Body ART Certified, SFMA, Graston and B3 BFR Certified
Dr. Lezlie Maloy is a licensed chiropractor and is the Director of Spring Valley Spine and SportsCare. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She is a native Oklahoman and an alumnus of both the University of Oklahoma and Parker University. She was named the Young Alumni of the Year by Parker University in 2013. She holds two bachelor degrees as well as her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Maloy is a full body certified ART (Active Release Technique) provider, a past participant in the ART/Ironman Proud Partner program and continues to work at endurance events both local and afar. Dr. Maloy was invited to become an ART instructor in 2013 and currently serves in that role. Dr. Maloy is also certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and is a certified Graston provider. Dr. Maloy is a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Maloy served as the lead ART doctor for Ironman Texas from 2011 - 2017 as well as Ironman Texas 70.3 and Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake. She has been a part of over 10 Ironman ART teams.
Dr. Maloy currently serves as the team chiropractor of Team OPFit, a Dallas based triathlon team competing in races ranging from local sprints to the World Championship in Kona, HI.
Maria Martinez, MS, RDN, LD | Registered Dietitian
Sports Nutritional Counseling
Maria Martinez is one of the dietitians at Nutriworks, Inc and has been at the company since 2017. She is currently our Dallas nutritionist, one of our virtual nutritionists, and works with our Spanish-speaking clients!
Outside of working with athletes through Nutriworks, Inc., Maria is an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Texas Christian University (TCU) and a consulting dietitian for several of SMU’s sports, including the Track and Cross Country, Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball teams. In the past, she has also worked with players training for the National Football League (NFL) combine, National Soccer League FC Dallas soccer players, and other individual youth and adult athletes in a wide range of sports.
She was raised in Dallas, TX and has been active for most of her life. She was a ballerina for ten years and soccer player for six. Upon entering high school, she joined her school’s varsity cross country and track teams and competed during all four years. After high school, she continued running and has since completed the Cowtown Marathon and many half marathons. She plans to continue running long-distance races and also enjoys hot yoga and indoor cycling.
Maria received her Bachelor of Science degree in the Didactic Program of Dietetics from Texas Christian University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and went on to complete her dietetic internship and Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Nutrition at Texas Woman’s University, receiving a nomination for The Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (TAND)’s Outstanding Dietetics Student Award.
As someone heavily involved in physical activity, Maria has always been interested in sports nutrition and believes that proper fueling with a nutrient-dense, balanced, and properly-timed diet is vital for peak performance. She hopes to continue helping athletes and active individuals of all backgrounds successfully achieve this!

Personal Training, Triathlon and Run Coaching
Jason Soria is the Owner and Head Coach of Team OPFit. His in depth knowledge and coaching style are great complements to our team. Coach Soria is a USA Triathlon Certified Triathlon Coach, a Certified Personal trainer and a multi-Ironman and Marathon finisher.
Originally from Dallas, Jason Soria grew up in and around DFW and fully comprehends the DFW athletic scene. As an adult, he stumbled into the sport of triathlon by accident when he started running with a local running group, and was eventually persuaded to race in his first triathlon. Jason knew immediately that he was hooked. From that moment he changed his personal training focus to learning how the body adapts to endurance training. From a humble triathlon start, Jason Soria has self coached himself to the Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI along with multiple other Ironman finishes as well as multiple Boston Qualifying Marathons.
Jason Soria is now seeing clients at his new facility, Optimum Performance Fitness. He is located one mile west of SVSS at 4258 Spring Valley Road. Coach Soria still provides the same comprehensive coaching services as well as individualized movement analysis and training. Join Team OPFit today!
